Project Support
Wind Zero was founded in 2006 by former US Navy SEALs with a vision to build a comprehensive training facility to serve law enforcement, the military, and public agencies. The founders recognized that southern California had a shortage of training areas forcing most agencies to send personnel out of the region and often, out of state to meet their training requirements. In 2007, Wind Zero purchased 1000 acres of land in Imperial Valley located only 80 minutes east of San Diego, California. The company is focused on developing a state-of-the-art training campus to support the training.
Faced with a decision on how to best use the remaining acreage, the company recognized that the region needs a world-class motor sports racetrack. In early 2008, management assembled a team of business and motor sports professionals to design a modern racetrack and business model around 6.1 miles of racing bliss. The track is specifically designed around the present day motorsports enthusiast. The track will be the first of its kind in California and the longest road course in all of North America.
